Meet Jim Meurer, RICP®, CFS, WMCP®
Jim Meurer holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor of Science from Willamette University (1999) and a Master of Science from Georgetown University (2000). He also holds a FINRA Series 7 registration (2001), a FINRA Series 66 registration (2001), and an Oregon Life and Health License (2001). He holds the Retirement Income Certified Professional, the Certified Fund Specialist, and the Wealth Management Certified Professional designations who graduated from the American College of Financial Services (2016), the Institute of Business and Finance (2018), and the American College of Financial Services (2021).
His favorite thing about his job is helping clients uncover how they can take all the hard work they have been doing and turn it into financial success. He likes that each client is different, and while they may have similar broad goals (such as retiring, sending a child to college, or not being a burden to family), the way to achieve their goals can be very different.
Jim focuses on investments, wealth management, PERS, and financial planning. He prides himself on making complex financial concepts understandable to a non-financial person. He also uses his experience to help clients navigate the PERS system.
When he’s away from the office, he spends his time playing, coaching, and watching soccer. He also enjoys playing and watching golf, doing yard work (crazy–we know!), wine tasting, and cooking. He has been married for 21 years as of August 2021 to Jeni. They have two sons, Jake (14) and Mason (11), and a mini Aussiedoodle named Leia.
